Sarah Manguso
Sarah Manguso was born in Massachusetts in 1974, earned degrees from Harvard College and the University of Iowa, and held the Hodder Fellowship at Princeton University. Her first book, The Captain Lands in Paradise (Alice James Books, 2002), was named a Best Book of the Year by The Village Voice. Her second book, Siste Viator, was published in 2006 by Four Way Books. Her writing has been anthologized in The Best of McSweeney’s (Vol. 1) and three volumes of the Best American Poetry series. She has taught at the Pratt Institute and in the Graduate Writing Program at New School University, and has read and lectured throughout the United States. She lives in Brooklyn.
