Henrietta Goodman
Henrietta Goodman grew up in the Piedmont region of North Carolina and earned an MFA in poetry from the University of Montana. Her first book of poetry, titled Take What You Want, was published in 2007 by Alice James Books as winner of the Beatrice Hawley Award. She has received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Montana Arts Council, a Fishtrap Fellowship, a residency at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, and the Marjorie Davis Boyden Wilderness Writing Residency. Her poems have recently appeared in Cimarron Review, New Orleans Review, and Willow Springs, and she has work forthcoming in Field. She lives in Missoula, Montana, where she works as Associate Director for Writing Assessment in the University of Montana’s Writing Center.
